Review ★★★

I wanted to see something new with Dulquer Salman in it so jumped into Kammattipaadam. It’s a very tough movie to follow, it jumps between real time and flashbacks with no discerning characteristics. The story is also just so closely tied to India it’s hard to even notice the subtle hints as to why people are so angry with each other. The visuals were beautiful, some shots filmed with quadcopters. The cast was great and I didn’t feel like any part was poorly done. I just couldn’t connect with the story even slightly. I couldn’t tell you what happened in the story. I couldn’t tell the characters apart. But I survived and there was always something happening on screen, so it was like watching a movie with no captions at all in the end.
