San Francisco (Take 2)

I recently spent another week in the wonderful state of California, this time venturing back to my favorite American city - San Francisco. I was travelling for Business this time, which is a really exciting opportunity to have so young. Since I was working, much of my time was spent working with my new job (at Juking the Stats) on some really, really exciting projects.

Since I had some extra time, I also took the opportunity to be a tourist again. San Francisco isn’t the scariest city to get lost in, but I do admit I spent most of my wandering time over by the piers. The piers have so much to do and see! This time, I checked out the Ghirardelli Square (awesome coffee, awesome chocolate), Union Square (too NYC for me), the Exploritorium (Oh My Awesome), the Ferry Building, and a bit more of the Marin Headlands. I rode the busses around, took some street cars, tried an Uber, and tried to see some America’s Cup action (sadly canceled for the week). I even got to eat across the street from the Google IO conference. I walked over and asked a couple guys what were in their white boxes: Chrome Pixels! I also saw a lot of Google Glass. I even went to both Apple stores.

I brought home some great coffee from Graffeo (go get some, it’s incredible) and Blue Bottle Coffee, some good chocolate from Ghirardelli (I ate it all before I got back), and some more tools from the Japanese almost-dollar store Daiso

I think now I have a better feel for what defines San Francisco culture - I like it!

Always an adventure, California! See you soon!
