Bollywood Reviews

One of the weird turns my life has taken me in 2016 was finding my enjoyment of Bollywood movies. I know how hard it can be to figure out where to start (and I’ve genuinely enjoyed watching this and compiling this list) so I’ve compiled everything I’ve watched so far into a handy list for you!

About me: I generally try to stick with Hindi/Tamil/Telugu/Malayalam/Kannada movies for now. I prefer ones shot mostly in India (Bollywood stereotypes of the west are very boring). Prefer comedy over tragedy or action or saga. More dancing is better. And a poorly edited action shot every 10 - 15 minutes is pretty important too.

About the scores: I don’t find the normal critic reviews of Bollywood movies valuable since they are all so negative when sometimes the things that bother them are what make the films such a great experience. I try my best to be honest and positive about every movie except for the few who earn an especially negative rating. I don’t subtract points for bad audio, weird editing, or silly production values - if the film is entertaining, it deserves all the stars it can get!

Good luck! Your friends will think you’re strange now but that’s okay.
