The Next Chapter

Hey there, friends. I’ve been short on a few details regarding my next steps in life. The pieces have fallen together and now I can finally share.

Last semester, for a myriad of reasons, I decided to make this semester my last in school. I will not be returning to Fredericksburg either. I hoped and prayed things would line up for me to stay in my favorite little city (Lynchburg, Virginia) and it all worked out quite well.

I recently ended my internship at Blue State Digital, where I spent the past year of my life. I had an incredible experience working with smart people on incredible clients, many set trying to make the world a better place. I learned more than I could have imagined there. I cherish my experience and have learned more there than I have in many, many years of school.

I will be starting full-time work at a new company called Juking the Stats in May, as a Web Developer. My work will consist of more than just front-end code, which I’m incredibly excited for since so much of my personal research and many of my projects are a part of the web ecosystem, but go beyond just working with front-end technology. I can’t wait to share what we’re doing there!

And friends, I’m not leaving you. In fact, many of you are the reason I’m sticking in Lynchburg a bit longer. Just this last semester I’ve gotten to know some incredible people and I will be around with you guys for a while yet. Please come and visit, and bring some friends and we’ll continue with our fun! I won’t be living far away at all (Timberlake isn’t far, right?)
